Beyond the Office Desk: Our Chail Adventure Uncovered

The Beginning of Something Special

Hi, I’m Saurabh Singh, a Digital Marketing Expert at Webomaze Technologies, and I’m thrilled to share our incredible 3-day Chail office trip that transformed how we see team bonding.

A few weeks ago, our company spread word about organizing a company trip to Chail, and around 25 people from our team immediately jumped at the opportunity. This wasn’t just another office outing – it was a chance to escape cubicles and create memories with incredible people. Our company owner Ravi Sharma and his wife Vinika Garg led this adventure, along with our beloved HR head Nitin sir, SEO team manager Dinesh sir, CRE team manager Akhil sir, and our amazing content team head Palak mam.

Our destination? The charming hill station of Chail, Himachal Pradesh – a hidden gem nestled in the Himalayas that would soon become our favorite escape.

Day 1: The Journey Begins (June 24, 2026)

9:30 AM – Our Adventure Starts

We gathered at our office gate on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 9:30 AM, packed into a comfortable Traveller vehicle with our bags filled with excitement. Our HR team thoughtfully prepared essentials – motion sickness pills, plenty of water, basic medicines, snacks, chips, and toffees – because they knew this 4-hour journey would be worth every kilometer.

As we left Solan, the weather became increasingly pleasant. The mountains were calling, and we could feel the shift in temperature and air quality. We stopped at Sadhpul, HP for a quick break, where the weather displayed that classic Pahadi rainy season charm – misty, cool, and refreshing with a beautiful river flowing nearby.

Weather Magic & Hotel Arrival

Just before reaching Chail, light rain started falling, and the weather became absolutely stunning. The clouds hugged the mountains, and the air smelled of pine and earth. By 2 PM, we arrived at our Resort – Snow Trails, perfectly positioned between Kufri and Chail on the scenic route.

Snow Trails Resort took our breath away. Each room was a cottage with beautiful gardens, an apple orchard, and panoramic mountain views. The hotel’s mess hall was equally impressive – walls made of traditional stone and soil, with paintings showcasing Himachali art and culture. We settled into our rooms for a well-deserved rest.

Evening Trek & Sunset Magic

After lunch with authentic Desi flavors, we prepared for our first adventure. Our planned 1 km trek near the hotel was set to start at 5 PM. At exactly that time, a WhatsApp message reminded us to grab tea, coffee, and biscuits before heading out.

The trek was magical. We walked through dense mountain forests, witnessed the stunning Himalayan trail, and reached the summit just as the sun began setting. At the top, we discovered a small mata temple where we paid our respects. In true Himachali spirit, Palak mam led us in a traditional Himachali Nati dance – an unforgettable moment under the open sky.

We returned to the hotel singing and dancing, our hearts full of joy.

Bonfire Night Under the Stars

The night brought us together around a crackling bonfire. With cold mountain air, starry skies, and the warmth of the fire, we shared beers, games, and stories. This was team bonding at its finest – no office politics, just real conversations and genuine connections. We eventually headed to bed, but the cold Himalayan weather and natural environment made sleep feel like a luxury.

Day 2: Heritage & Spirituality (June 25, 2026)

Morning Refreshment

We woke up to a breathtaking sunrise. After some energizing badminton and yoga sessions, we felt refreshed and ready for a full day of exploration. Breakfast was delicious and fueled us for the adventures ahead.

Chail Palace: A Royal Experience

Our first destination was the magnificent Chail Palace.

About Chail Palace:

Chail Palace is a historic 75-acre property built by the Maharaja of Patiala in 1891. This stunning heritage site stands as a testament to royal grandeur and architectural excellence. The palace was constructed as a hunting lodge and has since become one of Himachal Pradesh’s most iconic structures.

The palace complex features:

  • Sprawling gardens with exotic flora
  • Traditional Himachali and European architectural blend
  • Rich historical significance
  • Panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges

Entry Fee: ₹200 per person

Walking through Chail Palace, we felt transported to a bygone era. The intricate details, the manicured gardens, and the sheer elegance of the structure told stories of royal hunts and grand celebrations. Every corner offered a photo opportunity, and we clicked countless pictures to preserve these moments.

Why Visit Chail Palace?
If you’re planning a Chail trip, the palace is a must-visit. It perfectly combines history, architecture, and natural beauty. The entry fee of just ₹200 makes it affordable for everyone.

Kali Tibba Temple: Spiritual Heights

After exploring the palace, we prepared for our spiritual journey to Kali Tibba Temple, Chail’s most famous attraction.

About Kali Tibba Temple:

Kali Ka Tibba (also spelled Kali Tibba) is located on the highest peak in Chail, standing at approximately 2,250 meters (7,380 feet) above sea level. This ancient temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali and holds immense spiritual significance for devotees.

Why Kali Tibba is Famous:

  • Highest Point: It’s the highest point in the Chail region
  • Panoramic Views: Offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the Himalayan range
  • Spiritual Importance: Ancient temple with deep religious roots
  • Adventure Factor: Trekking to the temple combines spirituality with adventure
  • Photography Paradise: Stunning views make it perfect for memorable photos

The Story & Significance:
According to local legends, the temple has existed for centuries and is believed to be a powerful spiritual site where the goddess is believed to bless devotees. Pilgrims from across Himachal Pradesh visit this sacred temple, especially during religious festivals. The temple’s location on the highest peak symbolizes the spiritual elevation that pilgrims seek.

We climbed to the temple with full faith and devotion. The sight of the valley below from the summit was absolutely breathtaking. The mountain breeze, the spiritual energy, and the company of our team created a surreal experience. We took photographs against the backdrop of endless Himalayan peaks and felt a profound connection to nature and each other.

The descent from Kali Tibba Temple was as memorable as the climb, with everyone sharing their spiritual experiences.

Lunch & Local Flavors

We found a charming dhaba on the way back where we tasted authentic Himachali cuisine. We tried the famous Himachali Siddu (a steamed bread filled with spices), delicious momos, hot maggie, and other local delights. The flavors were authentic, and the hospitality was warm.

Stone Temple Trek

Our next stop was the Stone Temple in Chail, another beautiful attraction worth exploring.

About Stone Temple, Chail:

The Stone Temple is an ancient structure believed to date back several centuries. This temple showcases traditional Himachali stone architecture and is a hidden gem for trekkers and history enthusiasts.

Specifications:

  • Built entirely from stone blocks
  • Represents traditional Himachali architectural style
  • Located amidst dense pine forests
  • Offers a moderate trekking experience
  • Perfect for nature lovers and photographers

Most of our team members trekked to the Stone Temple, reaching around 5:45 PM. I didn’t join this trek, but the team’s excitement upon return told me it was worth every step. The temple’s serene location and the surrounding forest made it a spiritual experience for everyone.

Evening Celebration & Surprise Birthday

Back at the hotel, our bonfire was calling us. We relaxed with refreshments and chai. After some rest, Palak mam brought potato fingers and kachoris with hot tea – perfect comfort food for mountain evenings.

Around the bonfire, we discussed work, shared thoughts over sips of beer, and had genuine conversations about life. But the best part was yet to come.

As the clock approached midnight, we realized it was our SEO team manager Dinesh sir’s birthday!

Our content team girls had secretly prepared a cake at the hotel. We surprised Dinesh sir with a full celebration – dancing, singing, and wishing him all the best. The antakshari (Indian singing game) began around 12:30 AM and continued until 2:30 AM. We laughed, sang, and created memories that will last a lifetime. This spontaneous celebration was the highlight of our trip.

Day 3: Departure & Memories (June 26, 2026)

Final Morning

We woke up for our last morning at Snow Trails. After a refreshing shower and a final delicious breakfast with warm tea, we packed our bags, collected water bottles, and sang songs on the journey back.
